Your Frequently Asked Questions

My style is simple, but I believe that my pictures should speak about who you are as a person, about your relationship, about your joy of living. My goal is to provide you with an editorial-based representation of your engagement or wedding day, with minimal guiding or posing, through candid and well-cared photographs.

I focus mainly on the couple, on the families but also on details such as venues, flowers, table decor, outfits, food and much more. I am not a photojournalist and, if my photos say something to you, then you know this is the style that better fits on you.

Wedding photography

What is included in the wedding photography package?

The wedding package includes the following:

Since the photos have to attend a unique style and be consistent, they are individually colour corrected to bring out their full potential and provide harmony to the collection.

What is the gallery you mention in your collection?

The online gallery is a private, password-protected part on my website where all of your wedding photos will be placed online for you and your family and friends to view. All you have to do is provide the password to anyone who you want to be able to see the images. You can also order prints and receive them straight home, should you wish.

How long will you stay for on the wedding day?

3 hours for elopements, 8 or 10 hours for weddings.

How many photographs will we receive?

The number of photographs taken depends on many things – the number of guests, hours of coverage, types of events. My average for an eight-hour day is more than 500 images, carefully colour corrected and individually tweaked to bring out their full potential.

Do you take traditional family photos?

Absolutely. I strongly believe in those family images, as they’re records of your entire family at a critical time in their history together. I will be happy to shoot a group photo with all the guests and some more intimate portraits with your families and the wedding party.

Do you take candids as well as group photos?

I sure do! Especially during the reception, while people are relaxing sipping a glass of wine.

How long approximately will it take to get the photos delivered?

I do provide the photos within 30 days in 80% of the times. During peak season, it might take a few more days, but certainly less than 60 days.

Do you shoot video?

I focus only and exclusively on photography. I will be happy to suggest some videographers I work regularly with.
I work only with professionals. A bad videographer not only slows down but would undermine the success of the work. That’s why I reserve the right to cancel my service if your videographer does not keep up with my standards and policies.

If we’re running late, will you stay later than you were scheduled?

Surely! I do have an overtime rate, and it goes into effect only with your permission and approval that I continue coverage.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes, I do! Please take note that most engagement sessions have to be done Monday-Friday because of a heavy wedding schedule.

Can we see the outtakes and all of the images that didn’t make the “final cut”?

Please know that when “editing” I’m not striving to hit some number of images to deliver and throwing out “good” pictures. That’s why I take out only eyes-closed, flash-didn’t-fire, person-walked-in-front-of-the-lens, real outtakes. The images not selected are deleted, and therefore aren’t available.

Do you provide the RAW files from my wedding day?

My package comes with a full resolution image download. However, I typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from my shoots because I believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, I’m often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind.

Will you publish my photos on your website?

Yes, I will. My business comes from my website, that I care of with many photos from many beautiful photo shoots. For me, it’s vital to publish some photos there, and this is what I will do with your photos as well.

Engagement & Portrait Photography

How many photos do you deliver out of 2-3 hours photoshoot?

More than 120 for 2 hours photo shoot and more than 180 for a 3 hours photo shoot. Keep in mind these numbers may increase or decrease depending on the flow of the day and the number of events/activities needing to be captured.

Will you direct us during the photo shoot?

I certainly will, should you wish. Otherwise, I’ll do my best to take candid and spontaneous pictures.

Can we schedule our engagement session for the weekend?

I like to shoot engagement and portrait session on weekdays because locations are typically less crowded.

Booking & Meetings

When should we book you for our wedding?

ASAP. Since I can’t “hold” dates, photo shoots are booked when the contract has been signed, and the booking retainer has been paid.

What is your payment schedule?

A booking fee/retainer is due to reserve your date. You’ll have one more payment after the event. I support Paypal and credit cards. All the process is easier than a slice of cake.

Can you hold a date for me?

I’m sorry, but I can’t. To be fair to everyone, I can’t “hold” a date without a retainer and a signed contract.

Can we meet you before the event?

I would love to do that, but I travel a lot and often it’s impossible. In fact, the majority of the couples hire me without an in-person meeting. However, I would be happy to schedule a Skype video meeting. I am also very quick, and very thorough, with emails and I do answer most questions that way.

Can you recommend us some trusted suppliers, such as make-up artist, wedding planners, and caterers?

I would love to do that. I know many great professionals. Just tell me what you need, and I’ll email you a list of the best professional in the area.
