For a wedding photographer landscapes and settings have a fundamental importance, right after the attention to the couple. That’s why the first time we went to the Castello del Trebbio, we were pleasantly surprised: the XII century building is perfectly maintained and stands in all its majesty on a background of hills and olive groves, one of the typical landscapes in Tuscany and, in particular, in the areas of Chianti.
Celebrating a wedding in this place lost in time is extremely gratifying both for the couple and for us photographers, because – as it’s easy to imagine – you can take pictures of a certain atmosphere, with an almost fairy but at the same time elegant charm. There’s not a couple, not even a single one, married in this castle in the Florentine hinterland, who’s not proud of their choice. And, judging from the photos and albums we gave them, it’s impossible to prove them wrong. It really looks like time has stopped in the Castello del Trebbio: you can breathe it roaming around the cluster, surrounded by extremely suggestive arches; visiting the cellars, flagship of the dwelling, where a famous wine, appreciated in the entire area, is produced; you can breathe it also in the new restaurant “La sosta del gusto”, where old flavors are combined with the most modern culinary innovations in a mix of tradition and taste which conquers everybody.
Photographers or not, newly engaged or not, we suggest a visit to the castle to everyone, to breathe that historic and at the same time magical atmosphere, which – we’re pretty sure – will leave you speechless.

It was a pleasure to observe and photograph them during the various phases of the wedding, from the bride’s preparation to the reception. Wedding Castello del Trebbio The ceremony was held in the Castello del Trebbio, in the courtyard, between the emotion and applause of family members present. The Castle is located in Pontassieve, near Florence, in front of one of the best views in all Tuscany. The reception was held at the adjacent restaurant to La Sosta del Gusto. The imperial table was prepared between the stone walls. Rachel is a girl with an old-fashioned charm that seems of another era.
