Among the mild hills of the Fiesole countryside, a few minutes from Florence, it could happen that you see a tower plunged into beech trees. It’s the Vincigliata Castle, a wonderful complex dating back to the year 1000, still in a perfect shape nowadays.
The building, which embodies the romantic medieval dream, has all the characteristics that you expect from such a place: thick wood doors, stone walls covered by ivy, a wide inner courtyard and a wonderful park underneath. Impossible not to fall in love with it if you’re planning a Castello di Vincigliata Wedding.Read more!

The Vincigliata Castle will make you fall in love as nothing else ever could.
The most classic wedding in Florence could not exist without the beauty of the Vincigliata Castle as a venue.
Built entirely of stone, the castle is located in Fiesole, in a panoramic position, surrounded by olive groves and lush wild countryside. After seeing it, this couple decided to receive their guests here on the occasion of the wedding reception. But let’s take a step back.
They got ready, together with their families and friends, at the Fattoria Il Milione, entirely occupied by the wedding guests. They met in the centre of Florence for the Catholic ceremony that was celebrated in the ancient Church of All Saints. A rich, opulent church and a stone’s throw from the River Arno and the sights of the Tuscan city.
I took their pictures right there, among the artistic beauties of the historic centre. After a few photos in Piazzale Michelangelo, with a view of the city in the background, the couple reached their friends and family at the Vincigliata Castle.… read more...

As in most fairy tales, there are a princess, a prince and a castle. We could begin with Once upon a time and, even without witches and poisoned apples, conclude with a beautiful, happy ending. But to tell the story of this wedding, celebrated in one of the most beautiful castles in Tuscany, we should start with the families of the spouses. In fact, there is much of Italy in Gabriella and Ben’s wedding!
The bride’s mother was born in Italy and speaks perfect Italian. Gabriella’s grandfather was one of many Italian immigrants who chose the United States to look for work and luck. Even the groom’s mother, although she’s grown up in the U.S., has lived many years in Italy, and features an enviable mastery of the language.
Thanks to them and the warmth of many other guests, I had the impression of being in a big family. Rarely have I felt so sympathetic of a destination wedding and I take this opportunity to thank the couple and their beautiful families.… read more...
Of all the wedding venues in Florence, the Castello di Vincigliata is undoubtedly the most scenic. Perched on a hill near Fiesole, the castle offers newlyweds and guests a breathtaking view, areas set up for every part of the ceremony and the wedding reception, an atmosphere that is not easily forgotten.
Today’s couple has organised the wedding right here. The spouses got ready in Villa Fiesole, an elegant hotel at a short distance from the castle. The ceremony took place inside the cloister. The bride and groom exchanged vows and wedding rings under an arch of flowers, in front of their excited guests.
I took the traditional photographs with families and couple portraits inside the castle property. Although the scenery in the surrounding area is lovely, the venue offers many beautiful spots, perfect for wedding photos. The groom had also hired a Fiat Cinquecento, thanks to which I could take some funny pictures.… read more...
More and more foreign couples choose a symbolic ceremony for their Wedding in Italy.
The reasons are many. First of all, foreigners are frightened by the Italian bureaucracy (and how not to be). A symbolic ritual has no legal or religious value. Each couple organizes the necessary documents for marriage in their country of birth more easily ; they are papers to sign and nothing more. But the thrill of Marriage? The magic?
Here enters the symbolic wedding. Given that you can celebrate it almost anywhere, why not choosing one of the many beautiful locations in Italy? In this way, each couple will arrange the wedding ceremony how and where they want.
The symbolic ceremony allows the couple to schedule every detail, from the length of the ceremony, in the presence or absence of a celebrant, the background music to the whole spectacular context of the event.
Friends and families of the couple will be able to actively participate in the ceremony, reading letters, poems or personal dedications to newlyweds.… read more...

Many people think that the photographs of the wedding are only static images and quite often gone out of fashion. My goal is to destroy this myth and take my wedding photos in a completely different way.
I always try to live all the love that’s in the couple and this is mostly visible from their spontaneous and natural gestures. Also, I want that the bride looks like a real model on the magazines.
I do my best because every single photograph returns the memory of a special day.
