Exploring Tuscany and its little hamlets is a privilege everybody should treat themselves with once in their lives. But when it’s about planning a wedding, then we can say it’s almost a duty that’s not right to back out of.
If you’re searching for the perfect location for your wedding, you’ll have a wide choice. If we can dare to make a suggestion, among all the towns sheltered on the Tuscan hills, Certaldo needs a particular notice. Be guided by an expert photographer to discover the best Certaldo Weddings!
This delicious hamlet has Roman Etruscan origins and it’s full of buildings and structures that will literally leave you enchanted: just think about the two main churches, that of Saints Jacopo and Filippo, or the Chiesa di San Tommaso, not to mention the beautiful Palazzo Pretorio.
Whether you’re thinking about a wedding with religious or civil ceremony, you cannot be mistaken in Certaldo. Whenever you turn your glance to, the town offers unimaginable cues and right in the neighborhood, a few steps out of the walls, there’s a panorama among the most beautiful of the whole Tuscany.
In fact, after a few shots in Certaldo, make sure your photographer will take you to the close fields for a really romantic and uncommon service. Valdelsa, full of mild hills and cypresses, will be the perfect setting for your wedding pictures.
Be enchanted by the secular quietness of these areas, where the Florence of the Renaissance is just a few minutes far by car, but your eyes won’t see anything but mild nature and sheltered hamlets.
There are many gorgeous villas for weddings in Tuscany, suitable for intimate celebrations and elopements. Few of these can offer garden ceremonies with a view. Poderi Arcangelo is probably the most impressive among these venues, thanks to the beauty of the location and the breathtaking views.
The farmhouse is located on the top of a hill, very close to Certaldo and San Gimignano. The rustic styled villa is nestled into the surrounding landscape, made of cypress trees and vineyards, a paradise for every wedding photographer. Poderi Arcangelo has several modern-style rooms and an excellent restaurant. The real highlight is the garden with a view.
The couple of the day has chosen to celebrate their wedding here. The bride and groom have received their guests at the farmhouse. They both got dressed inside the villa. The ceremony was held on the front lawn, among the applause and the excited glances of friends and families.… read more...
Maybe you don’t know that Tuscany is very rich in churches. Whether they are Romanesque, Baroque or modern, most of them are ideal for moving and touching ceremonies, in a setting full of charm and history. The same cannot be said for civil ceremonies. The rite of the civil wedding is short, cold and unexciting. The setting where it takes place, which usually is the town hall, is unattractive.
Who doesn’t dream a civil wedding on a beach, with the sound of the waves in the background? Or in a garden of a grand Italian villa with relatives and friends? Although some town halls of Tuscany are kept in an excellent way, wouldn’t be nicer to have a civil service outdoors?
Since a few years, you can have civil ceremonies in unique places, such the gardens of the most beautiful historical villas of Tuscany.
These places are perfect because:
the civil rites celebrated in Italy are valid internationally.… read more...
You surely have already heard about this before! If you are familiar with wedding photographers or photography enthusiasts, you already know in depth what I’m talking about.
Imported a few years ago from the US, the engagement session is nothing more than a photo shoot that takes place sometime before the wedding. The goal is taking lovely couple portraits to celebrate that special moment before the wedding, when the couple is deeply in love and excited!
There are many benefits of taking engagement pictures. They can be done almost anywhere and anytime. On the other hand, it is the first and most important way to establish a relationship between the couple and the wedding photographer, which can understand the expectations, the desires, and the feelings of the couple.
It’s always nice to meet new couples in love, know where they met and fell in love with each other, what are their dreams and how they feel in front of the camera.… read more...
Love is … wallow happily in a meadow. You can see this couple who, during an engagement session, walk laughing and joking on the hill. Gimignano, from above, watching them smiling. Ah, the power of complicity!… read more...
A photo shoot in Chianti is an experience to try at least once in a lifetime. Among the many fascinating places in Italy, the Chianti area is one of the most impressive and well-known.
In late August, nature is at its best. The light is soft, warm and cosy, perfect for intimate portraits. The colours of nature become yellow then turn copper-colored, making the landscapes even more breathtaking. Sunsets are unforgettable.
This couple must have thought about this when they decided to take their photographs in the yellowed rolling hills of Chianti. Or maybe they just took advantage of the photo shoot to spend a few days of relaxation and culture in this part of Tuscany.
Their engagement photo shoot took place around Certaldo and San Gimignano, in one of the lesser known regions of Tuscany. The bride and groom to be posed between enchanted villages and fabulous landscapes, that inspired the painters of the Renaissance.… read more...
Tuscany in autumn is one of the most charming areas of Italy. The hills and the landscapes are tinged with red, the leaves quickly turn yellow, and everything becomes more melancholy. The bride and the groom to be couldn’t know it; even if they‘ll get married next year in this area, they had never visited Tuscany in this period. Creating some couple portraits in this season is undoubtedly a winning choice.
The engagement session took place on the outskirts of San Gimignano. In the earlier days, it had rained a lot, and this made the colours even more impressive than usual.
I took so many couple photos while they walked along the dusty roads of the area, with cypress trees watching over them, and a few images with the fabulous view of the Chianti area in the background.
Even though we only met on the same day, it was nice to spend some time together with this friendly English couple.… read more...
When photography has been a passion for many years, when it is part of you and you cannot think of yourself without it, it is hard to say “pause” and do without it.
Two photographers as us always have a camera with themselves, whatever the type, its shape, its color, we never leave without it. Hence places, people and atmosphere come through the lens, not only for work but for sheer pleasure.
A pleasure that manifests itself whenever it is possible, the infinite charm of the world which wants to imprint itself forever in our memories.
Precious moments of common life, happy moments of a new family, like ours, that could not exist without photography.
Photography helped us meet, thanks to it we always keep on meeting each other and for it we often labor, we sweat and get tired, for it we smile and feel proud, for it that is always right and never gets boring.… read more...
Romantic dreamers and adventurous newlyweds: come in Tuscany and you will find many spots for your wedding. If your desires are high walls and spiers of a beautiful castle, why not visit the Oliveto Castle? It’s just few steps from Certaldo, an ancient village full of history.
A great court, a castle, big frescoed halls and ancient furniture: so said, it could seem the perfect location for a wedding and actually, it is! Then if you add to such a location the professionalism of a photographer experienced in weddings also well skilled, the wedding will be breathtaking.
Oliveto Castle is a building lost in space and time, facing the mild Florentine countryside, a heaven for couples, but also for the photographer, who, in such a location, has only the hindrance to choose where to set the photos.
A castle as this of Oliveto, shielded in its original furniture and renovated following the original lines, is perfect, as we’ve already said, to celebrate the wedding party, but, if you choose the wrong photographer, it’s a high risk that you can’t have the best photographic memory of your event.… read more...
San Gimignano is one of the most popular destinations for Tuscany for weddings and honeymoons. Its towers, surrounded by hills and cypress trees, are one of the most famous icons of Tuscany in the world. San Gimignano is quite crowded with tourists throughout the year. The stone streets with typical shops, the atmosphere of the country village and the smell of food through the narrow streets leave an unforgettable memory in the hearts of those who visit it.
Nearby, nature shows its best. Here you can see the most beautiful sunsets of the entire Chianti area. The hills and dusty roads, lined with cypress trees on the sides, are the perfect backgrounds for great photo shoots.
Once I offered to take the wedding portraits here, Claudia and Allan have not felt the need to think twice, and just said yes.
These two cute young Brazilians got married in their home country.… read more...

I was born here, in Tuscany, among the fields, the hills and the sky.
Until my first day of school, I had the good fortune to live in the country. I have always lived nature and earth as my natural habitat, where I have always felt comfortable.
Probably that’s why my most beautiful pictures are the ones I took among the hills and the hamlets in Tuscany.
Tuscany offers me everything I need to take perfectly my photos.
Especially for engagement, pre-wedding and honeymoon sessions, where I’m free from the tight deadlines of weddings, free to design and create situations that I like the most.
My clients, who come here from all over the world, ask me about environment- surrounded portraits to take home.

Girls living in Eastern Europe call it Love Story in Tuscany. It is a sort of engagement session to do after the wedding, with calm, once the excitement of the event has faded and the things to do are finally over. Almost a honeymoon session, but with a typically romantic flavour. A snapshot of the life of the couple, in their happiest moment. An opportunity to meet again two people who have remained in my heart, after almost a year from their beautiful wedding.
However you want to call it, Tuscany is the perfect place to take pictures. It is a dream to plough dirt roads and yellowed hills walking with the love of your life, under the warm sun of September. There are plenty of spots in this region, and picking one is not easy. I needed a private place, quiet and beautiful; these two guys had spent nearly three hours to reach me from Milan, and everything had to put them at ease!… read more...

It is no coincidence that almost all the films in the series of 007 are partly set in Tuscany. No place in the world, in fact, offers a variety of landscapes as rich and varied. The beautiful Eva Green or Halle Berry would not think twice about saying Yes in Italy to spend their honeymoon here, between art and rolling hills.
