Small and picturesque maritime hamlet, Portofino is the flagship of Italy. Overlooking the coast in an enviable position, this roman town is the smallest in the county of Genoa. Be guided by an expert Portofino wedding photographer to discover the best spots for Portofino Weddings.
A Portofino Wedding is the most romantic and vary thing you could ever expect: get ready to fall in love again witnessing the sun setting behind the Ligurian Sea to give space to the trembling nocturnal lights. Art and nature finally blend together to give you a landscape that’s hard to find elsewhere: whether it’s for your honeymoon photos, an engagement session or something else, Portofino is the most poetic scenery you could ever dream of.
Even those who are unacquainted with the area, know Portofino and as main city of elegance and worldliness. It’s not a case that celebrities dock their boats in this harbor and that the famous square is the set of various photo shoots.
So, if you’re looking for a set for your love story, if for one day you want to feel like a star , but mostly, if you’re searching for an exceptional place for your pre wedding photos, Portofino is the perfect place for you and your photo service.
Santa Margherita Ligure, a gracious roman village in the center of the coast with the same name, is a chest of history, art and local folklore. In its boundaries you can find many pearls, among which one of the most outstanding buildings of Italy, San Siro’s Church.
But surprises don’t end here: sheltered on the main cliff stands the Castle of the town, a sixth century bastion which keeps within centuries of history belonging to the Republic of Genoa. Also, Villa Durazzo will please those who love parks and nature with its splendid seventeenth century garden.
If these are not good reasons to choose S. Margherita Ligure as destination for your wedding photos, then, come and see with your own eyes. You’ll be welcomed by the protected natural areas of Liguria, the blue clear sea, the panoramic paths on the mountains.
A photo session in these places is the most romantic and vary thing you could ever expect: get ready to fall in love again witnessing the sun setting behind the Ligurian Sea to give space to the trembling nocturnal lights. Art and nature finally blend together to give you a landscape that’s hard to find elsewhere: whether it’s for your honeymoon photos, an engagement session or something else, Santa Margherita Ligure – we can assure you – is the most poetic scenery you could ever dream of.
Portofino has always been one of the most desired wedding locations in Italy. Not surprisingly, hundreds of couples from all around the world choose this village in Liguria for their wedding ceremony and reception. The wedding photographers, at least once in their life, would like to photograph a marriage there. For me, the opportunity came with Shaun and Sarah, and their Portofino wedding at the Hotel Splendido. But first things first!
Portofino is the city of La Dolce Vita for excellence. Here is Italy in miniature: a little harbour, colourful houses, the turquoise sea, stone streets, fashion boutiques alongside food and artisan shops. And many, many foreign tourists. You see them tiredly going up the paths to the Brown Castle, a fortress on the hill where you have the most beautiful overview of the entire bay.
Portofino is one of the most exclusive cities in Italy. Since the early twentieth century, it is the destination of lords, earls, celebrities and artists who spend their holidays here.… read more...

Manami and Hiroyuki’s fairytale starts in the East, on a warm morning almost four years ago.
As it often happens in books’ plots, the encounter is unexpected, almost surreal: a park full of colors, two crossing glances, her shy smile.
They’re both hailing from a little town in Japan. It’s right there, among almond trees and cherry- trees, that they met and then fell in love. Close to their town, there’s another place which became sadly famous two years ago: Fukushima.
It doesn’t take a lot to dream, when you’re young and in love. After few years, a new need grew into them, the need to fulfill this feeling with something bigger that could enhance and celebrate it at the same time: the wedding.
Everything’s ready, finally, and the lovers anxiously wait for the big day. But fate has different projects for them. Few months before the wedding a tragedy hits Japan and sees Fukushima as center of the catastrophe.… read more...
If I were to get married again, I would seriously consider Lerici as my wedding location. This stretch of the Ligurian coast is as beautiful as little known. Frequented mainly by locals, it is one of the loveliest areas where to celebrate a seaside celebration.
The bride and the groom, from the cold Russia, have chosen Lerici among the many wedding locations of Liguria. In addition to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, it’s been the typically Italian atmosphere that brought them here. For example, the colourful houses near the harbour, the perched castle, rustic taverns and cafes overlooking the square, the rowdy fishermen who sell fresh seafood directly on the market stalls. A lovely atmosphere! They got dressed up in a private inn in Fiascherino, surrounded by their families and close friends.
The couple portraits were taken in the morning in the center of Lerici. After the first pictures, with boats and blue water as a background, we climbed the small fishing village up to the castle, on the top of the village.… read more...

Looking through the photos taken at many weddings, there are some moments that I remember like it was yesterday.
With the hectic life that I lead and the vast amount of people I meet, it’s easy to forget some of the details as the years pass by. I never forget, however, the story behind a photo. The pictures remind me of the many enjoyable moments during the photo shoots. A little treasure that I carry with me and enrich it again every season.
There are plenty of reasons to remember this photo. The first that comes to mind is that it was one of the rare times when we got late to the reception. The guests were waiting for us, and they were hungry. It was not my fault: the ceremony was pretty long, the couple had miscalculated the schedule, and the means of transport by which we moved was not fast at all.… read more...
Many people think that the photographs of the wedding are only static images and quite often gone out of fashion. My goal is to destroy this myth and take my wedding photos in a completely different way.
I always try to live all the love that’s in the couple and this is mostly visible from their spontaneous and natural gestures. Also, I want that the bride looks like a real model on the magazines.
I do my best because every single photograph returns the memory of a special day.
I’m lucky because Italy is a great place to live. For what concerns the photography, there are soooo many spots for taking lovely pictures here!! For instance, Venice has the canals, of course, so if you’re looking for some images around the water, that might be your best choice. Talk with your photographer to get great tips for your wedding pictures, no matter what Italian city you choose.… read more...
