Taking wedding photos at the Cinque Terre is the aspiration of many photographers. The Cinque Terre are in fact one of the most visited tourist destinations in Italy. Undoubtedly the most requested by professional photographers and enthusiasts for a holiday in the Bel Paese.
Well connected with the main Italian cities, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso are located above a strip of coast overlooking the Ligurian Riviera. These five villages are perched on the dark rock above the turquoise sea. Behind them, green hills covered with vineyards and olive trees. Although very different from each other, the houses of all the villages are painted in pastel colours.
It’s easy to meet other photographers on the paths that connect the villages, or in the most beautiful spots, as they wait for the right light to take a picture of the sunset. Having the opportunity to photograph beautiful couples on their Cinque Terre elopements fills my heart with joy and enthusiasm.… read more...

Sometimes you do not need to go far to find a suitable location for your wedding ceremony. Often our countries hide small treasures of architecture and art. If a catholic ceremony is what you dream of, look at every church in your country, even the ones forgotten over the hills. You might find unexpected surprises…
Italy, you know, is a Catholic country, and our cities and countryside are rich in churches of every shape and colour.
You can find rich and majestic abbeys in white marble and rustic and silent churches in the heart of the Tuscan countryside.
Each of us thinks of his or her own marriage as a special event – some prefer to impress their guests with a regal and precious Duomo, for example, whilst some prefer an intimate ceremony with a few guests in a romantic church in the most relaxed corner of the Tuscan countryside.
Before becoming crazy and setting out to visit every Italian church, take a walk in the surrounding area of your home or near the location you chose for the reception.… read more...
Working with Ilaria Menichetti of Ilaria di Glam Events, a wedding and events planner in Tuscany, is always a pleasure. Every time we are called for a photo shoot, we are happy to accept. Besides being a very good wedding planner, Ilaria is excellent at finding the most romantic places for her clients to hold their ceremony. She seems continually capable of finding enchanting surroundings and dreamlike atmospheres for weddings to take place. Since the start of the 2011 wedding season is upon us, we asked Ilaria her opinion of what the upcoming trends and fashions of the new year will be. As a wedding photographer I am obviously quite intrigued.

If I were to get married again, I would seriously consider Lerici as my wedding location. This stretch of the Ligurian coast is as beautiful as little known. Frequented mainly by locals, it is one of the loveliest areas where to celebrate a seaside celebration.
The bride and the groom, from the cold Russia, have chosen Lerici among the many wedding locations of Liguria. In addition to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, it’s been the typically Italian atmosphere that brought them here. For example, the colourful houses near the harbour, the perched castle, rustic taverns and cafes overlooking the square, the rowdy fishermen who sell fresh seafood directly on the market stalls. A lovely atmosphere! They got dressed up in a private inn in Fiascherino, surrounded by their families and close friends.
The couple portraits were taken in the morning in the center of Lerici. After the first pictures, with boats and blue water as a background, we climbed the small fishing village up to the castle, on the top of the village.… read more...
I love the small marine villages of the Italian coast. Liguria offers beautiful views and colors, perfect for any type of photo shoot. Especially for a Pre Wedding Portovenere!
Many couples of foreigners, especially Asians, often ask us advices to choose the best location on the Liguria where to take pictures of pre-wedding.
They are looking for a place where wear wedding dresses and take photos, in locations far away from where they will celebrate the wedding.
Landscapes such as the Cinque Terre are very in demand but, at the same time, they are quite “difficult” as location for pre weddings. The Cinque Terre are tiny villages which in summer are literally swamped by tourists.
We recommend Portovenere, a tiny village very close to the Cinque Terre, which is also included in the magical Gulf of Poets, of which it has all the typical characteristics. Colored houses, small squares, excellent restaurants and breathtaking views.… read more...

Just a few places have such a great charm! Liguria is full of nature and colors, old smells, and breathtaking views. It is worth walking through the narrow alleys where fishermen’s houses lie, go hiking in the mountains and diving into the bluest waters of Italy.

Getting married on the seashore: a fairytale among the waves
Let’s say the truth: who has never dreamed about a wedding on the beach, with the sound of the waves, the salty tang and the sea standing out in front of you?
The sea scenery, in particular if supplied with white curtains, candles and flowers, lends itself more than any other thing to set up a fairytale wedding. In the United Stated it’s a very successful custom; it seems a little more difficult here in Italy.
Surely, on such an important day, you should not renounce your own wishes: you need the right amount of determination, very clear ideas and everything becomes realizable.
If you’re planning a religious ceremony, it will be enough to find a priest who agrees to follow you to the seashore; if, instead, you choose a civil wedding, the beach location cannot be used.
However, you can move around the obstacle: it’s enough to execute documents and files in the town hall only with the witnesses, and then move to the sea, where will be set a symbolic ceremony that won’t have any official value.… read more...
