Planning a romantic and charming wedding like Giulia and Luca’s one is not easy at all.
The raw materials would all be available: lots of love, a church for the religious ceremony and a beautiful Tuscan villa where you plan the reception and entertain your guests. It would be perfect, also, a bright and warm late October day. Finally, lots of luck so that everything is plain sailing and there are no hitches.
ONE THING WHERE REALLY GIULIA AND LUCA HAVE REALLY SUCCEDED, WAS THE TASTE AND THE WILL TO ORGANIZE A CLASSIC WEDDING, ONE THAT THEIR GUESTS WILL REMEMBER FOR A LONG TIME.
This wonderful couple chose the church of Santa Croce sull’ Arno and the superb Villa Paterno for the reception. Here, we had the opportunity to take intimate photographs, in contact with the silence and the autumnal colors of Tuscany.
THE VILLA IS WONDERFUL: CLIMBING PLANTS, ROSE GARDENS, GATES COVERED WITH IVY AND JASMINE, SURROUNDED BY THE TYPICAL YELLOWED VEGETATION OF EARLY FALL, WITH great attention to DETAILS.… read more...
The most exclusive wedding is on the hills of Tuscany
The old Fattoria di Paterno is an exclusive wedding venue that is located in a stone’s throw from Castelfiorentino and Empoli, less than an hour from Florence and its famous museums. The villa is nestled in the mild hills of Tuscany and is one of most beautiful places where you can celebrate and organize your wedding.
Describing such a fascinating environment is so difficult as to explain what you feel the first time you see the Villa. It is set by a lady, who lives in the farm next door, so wisely and with extreme good taste; the architecture integrates seamlessly with the vegetation and the surrounding nature: often you can see walls crossed by creepers, windows and arches that create their space between the green and luxuriant ivy.
The whole building is enchanting, first of all the materials: sandstone, bricks and tiles for interior flooring; gold, brass and wood for the finishes.… read more...
It is all too easy to start talking about this Greek wedding in Florence quoting a movie from a few years ago: “My big fat Greek wedding“. A funny, pleasant comedy that made me laugh sincerely. Discovering that the Greeks are, in some ways, similar to the protagonists of the movie, was surprising. But let’s step back. Let’s talk about the groom, Giorgos. What could be more Greek of a Greek guy who works at the Greek restaurant in Florence? A very tall guy, who likes to laugh, joke and have fun. He has a genuine passion for his home country. During a meeting, before the wedding, I was enchanted to listen to him as he recounted the origins of his family.
Here, right. Family and traditions. Forget what they say on TV about the Greeks. I did not know the Hellenic people, and the truth is that they are much more similar to us than you could imagine.… read more...
Before being a stunning Antica Fattoria di Paterno Wedding, this is a lucky wedding. Sonia and Marco chose the middle of September to crown their dream of love.
Usually, the date would have reserved them a long hot day, a nice typically Italian afternoon and evening. On the morning of the wedding day, however, all the guests, the couple themselves, and yes, even us photographers, we all thought we had to bring along an umbrella.
The clear and dark sky threatened rain, that at the end of the morning poured out on the entire Tuscany. I do not know if Sonia has magical powers or Marco has “important friends” but the fact is that after a long thunder of water the sun came out shining, allowing our newlyweds a really wonderful afternoon.
Sonia and Marco have met each other more than 10 years ago and never fell apart.
From the first moment I met them they seemed very much in love and their greatest wish was to celebrate a wedding that was not only exciting for them but that could make feel good even all the guests.… read more...
When I think of a Wedding reception, I’m thinking of three words: elegance, atmosphere and good food. No doubt a beautiful location, as in this case, helps a lot and the Antica Fattoria di Paterno is perfect for outdoor dinners in her the lovely and romantic courtyard. Everything is stunning, the lights are soft, the pastel colours are elegant and the flowers, carefully chosen by the Bride, tell us that the setting will be unforgettable. If also the food will be good then it will be a dream reception!… read more...
Jessica and Massimo’s has been a wedding in the spirit of timeless good taste.
A definitely classic and traditional style, with no excesses but elegance and sobriety . The nuances chosen for the event, the dresses and the locations longed to be beautiful with no need to add anything superfluous or flashy.
Jessica, a beautiful girl of English extraction and also fashion designer, chose a classic-shaped dress: a corsage tight up to the hips, then wider down to the floor with a slightly hint train. Laces and a short veil to cover the shoulders only at the front, longer on the back. Fabulous details starting with the wonderful shoes signed by Dior (that only the picture below can describe) until the beautiful Chanel jewel worn by Jessica at her neck, received as present on the same morning of the wedding day from Massimo, the one who would have become her husband in a couple of hours.… read more...
“With all the time I had to devote to the organization, before leaving my husband I will think about it at least 100 times!”
That said a bride when I asked for clarification about her civil wedding in Italy. But first things first.
A couple who wants to get married with a civil ceremony in Italy has two options:
Arranging a civil ceremony in the country of origin and a symbolic ceremony in Italy;
Arranging a civil ceremony directly in Italy, in the halls of the municipalities or in the beautiful villas, if the municipality allows it.
This last solution is undoubtedly the most difficult.
Organizing a symbolic ceremony is extremely easy: once you find the celebrant, you simply need to agree on the type of ritual and timing.
The civil wedding in Italy is valid worldwide, but organizing it means having to do with the endless Italian bureaucracy.Celebrating the rite in a garden, surely pays back your efforts.… read more...
Kiss the rain. I was humming it while traveling by car t through the hills of Tuscany, directed toward what was expected to be a beautiful Antica Fattoria di Paterno wedding … wet! Will it be that my clients are British as the singer, Billie Myers, will it be that at some point the song says, “How’s the weather? Is it stormy where you are?”, will it perhaps be that I’m out of tune or that I bring bad luck, but it was pouring raining. A cloudburst. I had to pull over the car because I could not see the road ahead of me.
God only knows how long Lauren and Christian have planned this wedding! And how the British care to get married in Tuscany. With all their heart. They love the simplicity, the silence and the contact with nature. Often they treat the territory better than we natives do.… read more...

I was born here, in Tuscany, among the fields, the hills and the sky.
Until my first day of school, I had the good fortune to live in the country. I have always lived nature and earth as my natural habitat, where I have always felt comfortable.
Probably that’s why my most beautiful pictures are the ones I took among the hills and the hamlets in Tuscany.
Tuscany offers me everything I need to take perfectly my photos.
Especially for engagement, pre-wedding and honeymoon sessions, where I’m free from the tight deadlines of weddings, free to design and create situations that I like the most.
My clients, who come here from all over the world, ask me about environment- surrounded portraits to take home.
What are the best scenarios for photo shoots in Tuscany?
The hills are the icon of Tuscany in the world. I cannot make a photo shoot without a photo of the couple in front of a backdrop of hills at sunset.… read more...
Many people think that the photographs of the wedding are only static images and quite often gone out of fashion. My goal is to destroy this myth and take my wedding photos in a completely different way.
I always try to live all the love that’s in the couple and this is mostly visible from their spontaneous and natural gestures. Also, I want that the bride looks like a real model on the magazines.
I do my best because every single photograph returns the memory of a special day.
I’m lucky because Italy is a great place to live. For what concerns the photography, there are soooo many spots for taking lovely pictures here!! For instance, Venice has the canals, of course, so if you’re looking for some images around the water, that might be your best choice. Talk with your photographer to get great tips for your wedding pictures, no matter what Italian city you choose.… read more...
