Be guided by an expert wedding photographer to discover the best wedding planners Tuscany and their stunning works!
Disentangle the various bureaucracies, important decisions, contacts and negotiations with various suppliers is definitely not a simple terrain, trust me. As it is not easy to coordinate in an elegant and original way an event of enormous size, which in fact is marriage. A familiar figure, tasteful and full of originality will advise you on everything, from choice of the color palette to the advantages and disadvantages of a location over another; can help you to understand what actually you want (not everyone has ideas already immediately clear) and work in the most efficient way to produce it, avoiding you run here and there to fix this or that.Read more!
With the help of a good wedding planner you will not have to think about the most concrete problems and materials, but you can focus on the excitement of this important moment with confidence that everything will be, in the end, perfect. Among last year’s fantastic venues, Borgo Stomennano holds a spot in the top. I left a piece of my heart there, and I cannot wait to go back and relive another gorgeous wedding. Borgo Stomennano is located in the province of Siena, very close to Monteriggioni and its impressive castle. To reach the villa, you need to walk a grand avenue surrounded by cypresses. The old charm of the villa is still intact. Its walls are burned and yellowed by the sun, and blooming jasmine climb up the facades of the villa surrounding the old windows. The villa also offers a garden with ancient fountains and a lovely pool, plus many accommodations for couples and their guests. They can choose to spend some time inside the large central house, or in one of the many small villas of Borgo Stomennano.

Portofino has always been one of the most desired wedding locations in Italy. Not surprisingly, hundreds of couples from all around the world choose this village in Liguria for their wedding ceremony and reception. The wedding photographers, at least once in their life, would like to photograph a marriage there. For me, the opportunity came with Shaun and Sarah, and their Portofino wedding at the Hotel Splendido. But first things first!
Portofino is the city of La Dolce Vita for excellence. Here is Italy in miniature: a little harbour, colourful houses, the turquoise sea, stone streets, fashion boutiques alongside food and artisan shops. And many, many foreign tourists. You see them tiredly going up the paths to the Brown Castle, a fortress on the hill where you have the most beautiful overview of the entire bay.
Portofino is one of the most exclusive cities in Italy. Since the early twentieth century, it is the destination of lords, earls, celebrities and artists who spend their holidays here.… read more...
Every year, I portray dozens of couples from all over the world around Europe. This is the first time I have the pleasure of photographing a couple from Costa Rica and their beautiful wedding at Villa Le Piazzole in Florence. The bride, who’s been forever deeply in love with Italy, couldn’t help but choose Florence as the location for her wedding. So she left Costa Rica with a few family members to spend some relaxing days in the Florentine countryside. Right here is Villa Le Piazzole. Surrounded by rows of olive trees and cypresses, the villa has an enviable location, overlooking Florence and the surrounding hills. Is less than 10 minutes away from the major attractions of the Tuscan city and offers its guests relaxation, privacy and a stunning swimming pool with a view.
Both the bride and the groom got ready inside the rooms of the villa. The ceremony took place in the garden where the wedding planner Alessia and the florists have created a pretty enchanting setting.… read more...
Among the best works done in 2015, I remember this Isola del Garda wedding. With many hopes in my mind, I leave for Villa Florida in Gardone Riviera, the hotel where the couple got ready before the wedding. Upon my arrival, I was immediately surprised. The bride was a charming and gentle girl, the kind of muse every photographer would like to portray. The groom, also good-looking, was a friendly boy and puts me at ease right away.
Their story looks like a romantic movie: they met in London. She, Russian and he, Austrian, fell for each other after a real love at first sight. Within a few months, they’ve decided to get married. What better location than Italy to do it?

Of all the wedding venues in Florence, the Castello di Vincigliata is undoubtedly the most scenic. Perched on a hill near Fiesole, the castle offers newlyweds and guests a breathtaking view, areas set up for every part of the ceremony and the wedding reception, an atmosphere that is not easily forgotten.
Today’s couple has organised the wedding right here. The spouses got ready in Villa Fiesole, an elegant hotel at a short distance from the castle. The ceremony took place inside the cloister. The bride and groom exchanged vows and wedding rings under an arch of flowers, in front of their excited guests.
I took the traditional photographs with families and couple portraits inside the castle property. Although the scenery in the surrounding area is lovely, the venue offers many beautiful spots, perfect for wedding photos. The groom had also hired a Fiat Cinquecento, thanks to which I could take some funny pictures.… read more...
What about this Forte Dei Marmi Beach Wedding? If this was not the perfect marriage, we need to revise the definition of wedding. Thanks to a beautiful couple of spouses, a fairytale locations and a staff living up to the occasion. But first things first.
The bride and the groom have decided to get married on a warm Saturday in mid-September in Versilia, where they’ve been living and working for years. Like many other couples, they wanted a religious ceremony in a beautiful church and reception on the beach, to enjoy the appeal of a romantic sunset over the sea.
The church they chose was Pieve di Valdicastello, on the old Via Francigena, in Pietrasanta. A church that has literally stolen my heart. Small, entirely built with tuff and marble, it is one of the brightest I’ve ever seen. The Beach Resort Francomare was the place where the couple received their guests.… read more...
Among the many venues for intimate weddings, one of the nicest that I have visited in recent times is the Capannelle Winery. This tiny boutique hotel is located in Gaiole in Chianti, in a fantastic location from which you can enjoy the view of the surrounding hills and the old village. The region is one of the most famous in Tuscany. The Chianti area is undoubtedly renowned worldwide for its excellent wines and its slow food. Millions of tourists flock to this place to spend a few days of quietness, enchanted by the legendary sceneries and the relaxed lifestyle.
Capannelle Winery is a luxury resort, with few rooms but large and equipped with every comfort. The property offers a stunning infinity pool and tastings of local wines, including the ones of the resort. The garden is fabulous, with a large central gazebo covered by wisteria vines that give their best in spring.… read more...
I don’t need even one great reason to shoot a San Galgano Wedding. Memories always make me come back here. As the wine during ageing, they become sweeter and more meaningful. Ciaran and Joanna, from Canada, gave me the reason to return: their wonderful wedding in Tuscany.
The Abbey of San Galgano is one of the most fascinating places in Tuscany. This ancient Cistercian abbey of 1300 is located in the countryside of Siena. Its unique feature is also its biggest flaw: the abbey has no roof, it collapsed centuries ago during a storm. This characteristic leaves speechless thousands of tourists coming all the way from Siena and Florence to see it. The area where the abbey is located is wild. The roads wind through miles of fields, hills, and trails. Silence is the king of these valleys. The wind passing through the ruins is the only sound within the walls of the abbey.… read more...
In the imaginary, Tuscany is the land of vineyards and cypresses, wheat fields that stretch into the horizon and in the heat of a sunset. Millions of tourists choose the land of Michelangelo and Giotto for their holidays, among art, history, good food and wonderful tours.

It is always a pleasure to return to Villa Pitiana to shoot a wedding. This wedding venue is one of the most suggestive in the countryside of Florence. Villa Pitiana is located in Donnini, on the hills surrounding Florence, very close to Reggello. It is a large manor house, built in 1200 that can accommodate large and intimate weddings. Villa Pitiana, besides numerous rooms for the newlyweds and guests of the event, also has big gardens and panoramic terraces outdoor, and ancient halls indoor. Each step of the marriage is customizable, thanks to an excellent wedding planner that the Villa offers to the couples. Also, Villa Pitiana might be the perfect place for a marvellous honeymoon.

If I say their names, Paola and Sergio, it’s easy to think that these are two Italian guys. But this lovely couple, who celebrated their Cinque Terre Wedding in Monterosso al Mare, is 100% English and lives in the most British city in the United Kingdom, that is London.
But how is this possible, given that their last name is Italian? On a beautiful day in late June, we finally solved the mystery.
The fathers of Paola and Sergio are Italian and have married two English girls, with whom they spent the rest of their lives in the UK. None of them have forgotten their origins and language; in addition to the name and surname they passed on to their children their passion for Italy, even if the latter do not speak Italian fluently. A flaw which you can pass on once you’ve met them.
Paola and Sergio are, in fact, nice people, polite and respectful: the features of our favorite clients.… read more...
Relais La Costa is one of the most elegant luxury farmhouses I’ve ever seen in Tuscany. It is located in Monteriggioni, near Siena and a few minutes by car from Florence. It is an old Tuscan style village renovated to perfection, with the main features that make it so charming left unaltered. It setting of on several levels, with small cottages, a terrace, and a rooftop pool.
The spouses got ready in the villas of the property. The bride has experienced the most exciting moments before the ceremony along with her maid of honour and the flower girl. The groom instead with his groomsmen.
The ceremony was held in the beautiful church of Colle Ciupi, not far from the Relais. The church is very small, in rustic Tuscan style, completely painted on the walls by Duccio di Boninsegna’s students. The photographs do not do justice to the majesty of the paintings.… read more...
Florence is one of the most popular destinations in Italy for the planning a wedding abroad.
It’s no surprise that many couples choose the capital of Tuscany to organize their wedding. Florence has always been one of the most loved and well-remembered destinations by tourists from all around the world who have spent here a few days off or a period of study. The profession of wedding planner has been one of the most popular in recent years. A Wedding Planner, often a woman, is the key figure for spouses-to-be and for the suppliers who work in the field of weddings.
She deals with optimizing the timing, arranging transfers during the wedding day, setting the right space, helping the bride in the performance of the things to do (and I assure you that there are so many!).
A good wedding planner is worth much more than what you say!
In recent times we have known many. Few have proved excellent collaborators and fantastic event organizers.

Conti di San Bonifacio is undoubtedly one of the most attractive wedding venues of Tuscany. You never stop wondering! When I thought I had seen the nicest places there, here comes the chance to work in this incredible estate in the Maremma. This Conti di San Bonifacio Wedding is worth to be told! But first things first.
Conti di San Bonifacio is a wine resort located in Gavorrano, in the province of Grosseto. The area is the wildest and unspoilt of Tuscany: the paradise of every photographer. Fields in bloom and orderly vineyards accompany me along the journey on deserted roads. A gate out of nowhere welcomes me; the road begins to climb and, at last, I am in front of the impressive facade of the structure. A large arched wooden door is before my eyes. Above it, the skeleton of the head of a buffalo. I am suddenly aware that one of the strengths of the Conti di San Bonifacio is the position.… read more...
It’s been only four years since he first met her.
He met her in Florence, in a photography atelier where he had been working for a few years. She, a university student of photography about to graduate; he, an advertising photographer with a real passion for weddings. Since that February 2009 more than 1500 days have passed; they’ve spent together many lovely days, worked a lot and travelled little.
So, after a holiday to the Canary Islands, they decided that it was the right time to be on the other side; putting the cameras aside, they wore the wedding dresses and, after a few months of tiring preparation, they got married at the end of May surrounded by friends and relatives. The civil ceremony took place at the Abbey of San Galgano, near Siena.
Who doesn’t dream a sunny day for their wedding? That Saturday was everything but sunny. Rain, hail, 12 degrees; a day that could be easily a November one.… read more...
Whether you see it for the first or the hundredth time, you cannot help but be enchanted by the Villa di Ulignano. It happened to me. Although I’ve visited hundreds of wedding locations, Villa di Ulignano delighted me on a beautiful October day. The same, alas, must have happened to this sweet Canadian couple who have decided to crown their dream of love in Tuscany.
Villa di Ulignano is located near Volterra, surrounded by the hills of the Chianti area. It is an ancient villa, with many rooms to receive guests and magnificent Tuscan-style lounges. The bride and the groom decided to celebrate their wedding by the pool, in the garden, in front of the sumptuous landscape of the Chianti area. A moving ceremony, under the sun of a bright autumn day.
However, the weather changes quickly in the October days. The sun was darkened rapidly by clouds swollen with rain, which did not take long to get over our heads.… read more...
One of the great satisfactions of being a wedding photographer is to be requested also by colleagues and suppliers. In addition to having photographers as clients, we also had wedding planners among our most beautiful brides. That’s how I met Sabrina from White Wedding & Events. Her wedding with Andrea, celebrated at the Antica Fattoria di Paterno two years ago, is something I still remember with affection and pleasure, to the genuine emotions and the nice atmosphere we felt.
To become a wedding planner you must have been brides. Why? Because otherwise it is impossible to fully understand what is behind the organization of a wedding. Sabrina did. Her wedding was only the beginning of a career full of satisfaction. If I think of a wedding planner in Pistoia, Sabrina is the first I would entrust my wedding to.

The first thing that I’ve learned from shooting this stunning Volterra Wedding is that I should spend more time with my guests on my wedding day. Because, when I look back at my wedding, one of the things I regret most is not having spent with my guests the time they deserve.
The most beautiful things are fleeting and time during a wedding flies. It would have been great to spend a few hours with every couple of friends and families who were present. So, what I admire in destination weddings, is that the event is the perfect occasion to spend a few days together, maybe of a holiday, and relax before returning to the routine and the commitments of daily life.
The goal then becomes to find a venue in Tuscany, perhaps a historic villa that can accommodate newlyweds and guests for a few days. A villa worthy of a beautiful and important event such as a wedding. … read more...
