Among the many venues available for celebrations on the beach, the Beach Club in Forte dei Marmi is worth a special mention. It is a modern seaside resort that overlooks the golden sands of Tuscany. If I say their names, Paola and Sergio, it’s easy to think that these are two Italian guys. But this lovely couple, who celebrated their Cinque Terre Wedding in Monterosso al Mare, is 100% English and lives in the most British city in the United Kingdom, that is London.
But how is this possible, given that their last name is Italian? On a beautiful day in late June, we finally solved the mystery.
The fathers of Paola and Sergio are Italian and have married two English girls, with whom they spent the rest of their lives in the UK. None of them have forgotten their origins and language; in addition to the name and surname they passed on to their children their passion for Italy, even if the latter do not speak Italian fluently. A flaw which you can pass on once you’ve met them.
Paola and Sergio are, in fact, nice people, polite and respectful: the features of our favorite clients.… read more...

The villages of the Riviera are among the most sought-after locations for weddings in the world, and a photographer could not be happier to work in such a lovely place.
From distant Australia, these two lovers chose to elope to Cinque Terre to get married. A couple of friends were their only witnesses. The wedding was celebrated on a terrace overlooking Monterosso al Mare, surrounded by green vineyards and mountains facing the sea. Unfortunately, the rain came upon us, but the bride and groom, super excited, hardly noticed it!
After the ceremony, it was a pleasure to guide them around and take their photos in the city centre. And while I was capturing spontaneous wedding photographs during a walk, the sun came back! Just in time for portraits with fabulous views in Vernazza.… read more...

Although the sea is not that great, Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta are the destination of hundreds of families from North and Central Italy for summer holidays. One of the many reasons that makes Versilia popular since the 60s is the fantastic atmosphere you can feel there. After their first visit, even Paola and Nick were amazed by this corner of Tuscany.

Thanks to all the beautiful women he met, he would have some problem in the choice of his sweetheart! But if James Bond was about to get married, I’m sure he would consider Eloping in Tuscany to do that!
It is no coincidence that almost all the films in the series of 007 are partly set in Tuscany. No place in the world, in fact, offers a variety of landscapes as rich and varied. The beautiful Eva Green or Halle Berry would not think twice about saying Yes in Italy to spend their honeymoon here, between art and rolling hills.

I met these two young Canadians for the first time on the occasion of the wedding proposal in the Cinque Terre. I helped Barry during the planning, and I was there when he asked Jessica to marry him. A wonderful day that I still remember with emotion. So when I was invited to photograph their wedding in the Caribbean, I did not think twice, and I just said yes. Exactly as I don’t refuse an invitation to dinner with our loved ones, for no reason at all I would have missed Barry and Jessica’s marriage.
The location of the wedding is the Now Larimar in Punta Cana. The resort, which overlooks the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, is located in the Dominican Republic, and is surrounded by palm trees, white sand and lush gardens. A real feast for the eyes! As soon as I arrived, I immediately realised that it was the perfect place for breathtaking wedding photos.… read more...
To better describe this Pietrasanta Beach wedding, it’s necessary to take a step back and tell the story of these two Tuscan guys. Carolina and Alessandro were born and raised in Tuscany, in the province of Pistoia. Here they attended the same high school, but their eyes have never met. The fate, mocking, expected that the time was ripe for them to meet. Indeed Carolina and Alessandro met in Milan, in a law firm, where they both now work. And so, between a folder and the other, in a short time they tied the knot, assisted by their beautiful baby girl, Carlotta, their families and friends.

Not surprisingly, hundreds of couples from all around the world choose this village in Liguria for their wedding ceremony and reception. The wedding photographers, at least once in their life, would like to photograph a marriage there. For me, the opportunity came with Shaun and Sarah, and their Portofino wedding at the Hotel Splendido. But first things first!
Portofino is the city of La Dolce Vita for excellence. Here is Italy in miniature: a little harbour, colourful houses, the turquoise sea, stone streets, fashion boutiques alongside food and artisan shops. And many, many foreign tourists. You see them tiredly going up the paths to the Brown Castle, a fortress on the hill where you have the most beautiful overview of the entire bay.

This small town is the focal point to visit the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence, but it is also famous for good restaurants, good shopping and luxury in every corner.
Right here Katharina and Christoph, two guys from neighboring Austria have decided to celebrate their wedding. When I met this couple, a few days before the wedding, I quickly realized that their wedding would have been a stylish and intimate one.
Katharina, gorgeous in a simple but elegant dress, was beaming. Beautiful in white, with a true diva behavior.
For makeup and hairstyle she chose a Mediterranean look: a low clump for the hairstyle and eyes perfectly framed. A style that I immediately loved. The groom kept up with her in an elegant suit signed Gucci.… read more...
Among the many great wedding locations where to elope in Italy, Cinque Terre have to be mentioned among the most charming.

Taking wedding photos at the Cinque Terre is the aspiration of many photographers. The Cinque Terre are in fact one of the most visited tourist destinations in Italy. Undoubtedly the most requested by professional photographers and enthusiasts for a holiday in the Bel Paese.
Well connected with the main Italian cities, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso are located above a strip of coast overlooking the Ligurian Riviera. These five villages are perched on the dark rock above the turquoise sea. Behind them, green hills covered with vineyards and olive trees. Although very different from each other, the houses of all the villages are painted in pastel colours.
It’s easy to meet other photographers on the paths that connect the villages, or in the most beautiful spots, as they wait for the right light to take a picture of the sunset. In Italy, it is called lovers’ getaway. There could not be a more romantic name to define what in the Italian language does not have a precise definition. Two words: Italy elopement.
The one famous in the 60s and 70s, when lovers from South-Italy, who did not accept the marriage arranged by their families, flee to the north, trying to build a life after a rapid rite celebrated in haste.
In 2015, many things have changed. The elopement has become a recurring thought in all those couples who are looking for a different way to celebrate a wedding; something that is more intimate, something to live almost privately, something that might be also the occasion for a great honeymoon.
Why eloping abroad?
The elopement is nothing more than a wedding where there is no one else but the couple and the celebrant. And, of course, the photographer.
But what are the real benefits of an Italy elopement?… read more...
What about this Forte Dei Marmi Beach Wedding? If this was not the perfect marriage, we need to revise the definition of wedding. Thanks to a beautiful couple of spouses, a fairytale locations and a staff living up to the occasion. But first things first.
The bride and the groom have decided to get married on a warm Saturday in mid-September in Versilia, where they’ve been living and working for years. Like many other couples, they wanted a religious ceremony in a beautiful church and reception on the beach, to enjoy the appeal of a romantic sunset over the sea.
The church they chose was Pieve di Valdicastello, on the old Via Francigena, in Pietrasanta. A church that has literally stolen my heart. Small, entirely built with tuff and marble, it is one of the brightest I’ve ever seen. The Beach Resort Francomare was the place where the couple received their guests.… read more...
Today I write this post as a photographer but mostly as a friend. I want to tell the story of a glamorous wedding on the beach in the Philippines.
Valentina and Daniele are dear friends, I have been so lucky to follow them in this adventure out of the ordinary. Usually, couples from abroad choose Europe for their big day. Now, two Italians, in love with this land, decided to celebrate their wedding on the white beach of Boracay Island.
An original choice, happily shared by few relatives and friends present at the wedding. The ingredients are the best ones for an intimate elopement: white sandy beach, crystal clear sea, palm trees and a fabulous sun. Every detail has been carefully planned, each color coordinated with the others, the flowers and the decor were just excellent.
Valentina and Daniele chose the resort Asya Premier Suite as the venue for their wedding.… read more...
If I were to get married again, I would seriously consider Lerici as my wedding location. This stretch of the Ligurian coast is as beautiful as little known. Frequented mainly by locals, it is one of the loveliest areas where to celebrate a seaside celebration.
The bride and the groom, from the cold Russia, have chosen Lerici among the many wedding locations of Liguria. In addition to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, it’s been the typically Italian atmosphere that brought them here. For example, the colourful houses near the harbour, the perched castle, rustic taverns and cafes overlooking the square, the rowdy fishermen who sell fresh seafood directly on the market stalls. A lovely atmosphere! They got dressed up in a private inn in Fiascherino, surrounded by their families and close friends.
The couple portraits were taken in the morning in the center of Lerici. After the first pictures, with boats and blue water as a background, we climbed the small fishing village up to the castle, on the top of the village.… read more...
We cannot imagine how Julien Moore felt when Matthew Mc Conaughey has called her on stage to give her a well-deserved Oscar. After so many years of hard work, the dream of a lifetime and the culmination of a career has materialized in front of her eyes. Intense and deep emotions. Stuff that makes your legs shake.
For wedding photographers, there are no Oscars. There are several prizes, of many associations and web sites born in recent years for wedding photojournalists. But for the one of us looking for beauty and femininity, there are no awards.
However, before being wedding photographers, we are fashion photographers and the dream of life is called Vogue.
We do not know how it feels to win an Oscar, but we can tell you how we felt when we heard that our photos were out on Vogue Sposa – Vogue Brides in Italy. We ran to the newsstand to grab the last number, and find that indeed it was true.… read more...
Tuscany offers to whom decide to get married here stunning venues to celebrate the wedding. As wedding photographers, we cannot help but recall, among these, Florence, Siena, Lucca, but also the area of Chianti and Versilia.
Off the beaten touristic and more noble sites, there are little-known villas and historic venues in celebrating the wedding will be a unique experience for you and your guests!
All these locations have:
a place to celebrate the symbolic or civil ceremony
accommodations within the property or very close
many areas for the receptions
gorgeous backgrounds for the photo shoots
rain cover in case of bad weather
The rain cover is an essential factor in choosing a villa or a castle for the wedding. A lot of times, even in beautiful villas, bride and groom have to rent tensile structures that ruin the aesthetics of the venue. In fact, all these places have indoor areas.… read more...
