Villa di Liliano is one of the most beautiful locations I’ve visited this year. It is an ancient Medici villa, lost in the Florentine countryside, among wild fields and olive groves. It is precisely here that the couple of the day celebrated their wedding. They got ready at the Hotel St. Regis, in the historic centre of Florence. The groom joked around until the last minute with his groomsmen, before putting on his beautiful black suit; the bride was aided by her sister and mother to wear the dress and the bridal veil.
They gathered in the garden of the Villa di Liliano, where the groom gazed excited at her as she walked down the lawn towards him. They exchanged vows and rings just before sunset on a warm summer day. Later on, the spouses and families have toasted to their union with the local limoncello, always in the garden. I portrayed the couple inside the villa property, in the most charming and lovely spots. Some pictures on the panoramic terrace, others while they were walking on the trails, a few others within the old rooms and along the corridors. The garden is the real pride of the villa, especially at sunset, when you can see the sun disappear behind the hills.
Because of the heat, the dinner was held indoors. A large U-shaped table was decorated with fresh flowers and candles. Immediately after the traditional speeches and the cake toss, the bride and groom went wild on the dance floor. I greeted them while they celebrated with their friends this beautiful day, still happy and excited.
See you soon Villa di Liliano!
