Venice has always been the city of lovers. Hundreds of couples celebrate their weddings here; others choose Venice for their honeymoon or romantic holidays. In addition to this, Venice is the perfect city for exciting photo shoots. So why not combine things? Under the guise of a romantic holiday, more and more people in love catch the opportunity of a trip to Italy for a pre wedding Venice.
Anning and Victor have contacted me because they wanted spontaneous and glamorous pre wedding photos through the streets of Venice a few months before the marriage. During the last years, more and more couples have come from abroad to take this type of pictures. For those who live in America and Asia, Italy is one of the most popular destinations for pre-weddings. Be honest: what can be more romantic than portraits of the couple in love at sunset on the streets and sights of Venice? Thanks to a well-organized photo tour, the images will leave friends and families out of breath.
The day of the photo shoot I met Anning and Victor at their hotel in the centre of Venice. Being almost entirely a pedestrian area, we walked among the best spots for photos, amid narrow streets and along the canals less frequented by tourists. It was great to shoot this couple from Hong Kong among the hundreds of stone streets and bridges of Venice. Many tourists, enchanted by the beauty of Anning, snapped selfies and photos with their smartphones, congratulating the couple.
Before sunset, we took a boat and went on the Isola di San Giorgio for the second part of the photo tour. There, I took intimate portraits with Palazzo Ducale and the bell tower of Piazza San Marco in the background. The sunset has enhanced the atmosphere, and the photos came out breathtaking.
Just a little time to change the dress and a makeup touch-up by the talented Silvia Gerzeli, before the last part of the pre-wedding photo shoot, at night.
Despite the short time spent together, I could not help but appreciate these two lovely young Asians. Although I do everything to put couples at ease, it is not easy to stand in front of the lens of a camera. Anning and Victor seemed to have prepared for that. They have always been very friendly and playful. Time flew, and it was really nice to spend a few hours with them.
For the day session, Anning wore a simple and elegant white dress, with bare shoulders and a wide skirt. The hairstyle was perfect to enhance the slender figure of the bride.
For the evening instead, Anning became a real diva on the red carpet. For her nighttime look, the bride chose a beautiful plum-colored dress, perfect for Venice by night! Soft tulle, sweetheart neckline and a beautiful skirt with a particular manufacturing that made an amazing effect. Anning untied her hair to look like a true diva of the past.
A pre wedding Venice is definitely one of the experiences to have in life, especially for those who live far away from the beauty of Italy. Don’t you think so?
