Every time we go back to Venice, it’s still like the first time.
The Venetian city always offers new and unique glimpses, especially for the wedding photo sessions. It could be the water, the people who live there or just the atmosphere. We love it and we never lose the chance to dedicate a little part of the day to take a look and walk around the streets of the city. We got the opportunity to come back there thanks to a Russian couple. Polina and Yuri decided to celebrate their wedding in Venice.
The two got ready at the Hotel Danieli, right in front of the lagoon. The hotel is striking, extra luxury Venetian style; big arch glass doors are spaced out by lovely terraces overlooking the hall; the walls, covered by precious damasks from the Far East, are the perfect background for baroque furniture. Polina, whom we didn’t have the pleasure to meet before, appeared in all her beauty. The dress highlighted her curves and her long legs. The civil ceremony took place at Palazzo Cavalli, where the couple exchanged the rings. We took some pictures on the terrace, with the canal as background.
Later we moved to San Marco Square by gondola. For lunch, we were on San Giorgio island, on the opposite bank of Ponte Dei Sospiri. We caught a water taxi and then a gondola to take numerous wedding photos with the couple around Rialto canal. Luckily the guests were not so many: the bridesmaids proved to be quite sporty and resilient even with their vertiginous heels. The bride and the groom were outstanding, both for poignancy and concentration; despite the 7 hours’ walk among canals, bridges and streets, they have never shown any sign of weakness. Indeed, they have always lent themselves to take beautiful pictures.
The weather was also by our side: the day was sunny, and there was not too much sultriness. In the end, a day to frame. And while we were coming back home, tired but extremely satisfied, we had the chance to watch a fantastic sunset. What else could you demand to life? Nothing, just a wedding in Venice.
