Glamorous Pre Wedding Venice

Venice has always been the city of lovers. Hundreds of couples celebrate their weddings here; others choose Venice for their honeymoon or romantic holidays. In addition to this, Venice is the perfect city for exciting photo shoots. So why not combine things? Under the guise of a romantic holiday, more and more people in love catch the opportunity of a trip to Italy for a pre wedding Venice. Anning and Victor have contacted me because they wanted spontaneous and glamorous pre wedding photos through the streets of Venice a few months before the marriage. During the last years, more and more couples have come from abroad to take this type of pictures. For those who live in America and Asia, Italy is one of the most popular destinations for pre-weddings. Be honest: what can be more romantic than portraits of the couple in love at sunset on the streets and sights […]

I don’t know where to start to tell this incredible elopement in Venice. There are so many details and nuances that I hope I do not forget anything! A unique place to enjoy all the old-fashioned Italian style. Rebecca and Ali chose the city of lovers for a simple elopement with an impressive background. The civil ceremony took place in the magnificent halls of the Palazzo Cavalli where the bride and groom shared this moment, albeit virtually, with their loved ones connected via webcam. An uncommonly useful service that the municipality of Venice provides, […]

Venice Pre Wedding Photo shoot

What could be more romantic than your treasured Venice pre wedding photo shoot being taken amongst a backdrop of Venice’s famous canals and bridges? Why not tell the story of a couple from Singapore, who chose, out of all of the beautiful destinations in Europe and the rest of the world, the Italian lagoon, Venice, for their pre-wedding photo shoot? Maybe it is because Venice is unique? Or maybe it is because Venice offers incredible scenery for wedding photos? When couples ask me to take their wedding photographs in Venice, I always feel euphoric. Amongst many photographers in the world, thankfully I have had the chance to work in a range of fairy-tale venues. Just think about Tuscany, which is usually my battlefield. However, sometimes customers call me with a request to take their photographs in Venice. Between the engagement sessions, marriage proposals and even family portraits, during the last few […]

Russian wedding at Hotel Danieli in Venice

Russian wedding at Hotel Danieli in Venice

Every time we go back to Venice, it’s still like the first time. The Venetian city always offers new and unique glimpses, especially for the wedding photo sessions. It could be the water, the people who live there or just the atmosphere. We love it and we never lose the chance to dedicate a little part of the day to take a look and walk around the streets of the city. We got the opportunity to come back there thanks to a Russian couple. Polina and Yuri decided to celebrate their wedding in Venice. The two got ready at the Hotel Danieli, right in front of the lagoon. The hotel is striking, extra luxury Venetian style; big arch glass doors are spaced out by lovely terraces overlooking the hall; the walls, covered by precious damasks from the Far East, are the perfect background for baroque furniture. Polina, whom we didn’t have […]

Intimate Church Venice Wedding

In my opinion, George and Amal Clooney didn’t really enjoy their Venice Wedding. Celebrating the ceremony indoors, under an arch of flowers leaning against a wall, when you’re in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is not the top of the world. Thinking about a wedding in Venice, there are many ideas that come to my mind! A civil ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli, for example, which is right outside the Hotel Amman. In this beautiful place, home of the municipal hall, ceremonies are celebrated with a view on the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. Those looking for a ceremony in a church will be spoiled for choice. The church Santa Maria Della Salute is one of the most beautiful, but unfortunately accessible to few. The Church of San Giorgio Maggiore, on the namesake island, is the one most in demand, with a view on Piazza San […]
