It is no coincidence that almost all the films in the series of 007 are partly set in Tuscany. No place in the world, in fact, offers a variety of landscapes as rich and varied. The beautiful Eva Green or Halle Berry would not think twice about saying Yes in Italy to spend their honeymoon here, between art and rolling hills.

One of the great satisfactions of being a wedding photographer is to be requested also by colleagues and suppliers. In addition to having photographers as clients, we also had wedding planners among our most beautiful brides. That’s how I met Sabrina from White Wedding & Events. Her wedding with Andrea, celebrated at the Antica Fattoria di Paterno two years ago, is something I still remember with affection and pleasure, to the genuine emotions and the nice atmosphere we felt.
To become a wedding planner you must have been brides. Why? Because otherwise it is impossible to fully understand what is behind the organization of a wedding. Sabrina did. Her wedding was only the beginning of a career full of satisfaction. If I think of a wedding planner in Pistoia, Sabrina is the first I would entrust my wedding to.

Maybe you don’t know that Tuscany is very rich in churches. Whether they are Romanesque, Baroque or modern, most of them are ideal for moving and touching ceremonies, in a setting full of charm and history. The same cannot be said for civil ceremonies. The rite of the civil wedding is short, cold and unexciting. The setting where it takes place, which usually is the town hall, is unattractive.
Who doesn’t dream a civil wedding on a beach, with the sound of the waves in the background? Or in a garden of a grand Italian villa with relatives and friends? Although some town halls of Tuscany are kept in an excellent way, wouldn’t be nicer to have a civil service outdoors?
Since a few years, you can have civil ceremonies in unique places, such the gardens of the most beautiful historical villas of Tuscany.
These places are perfect because:
the civil rites celebrated in Italy are valid internationally.… read more...

The fascinator is the must-have accessory of the moment. It makes the brides of the 5 continents crazy for its impish character halfway between sporty style and 30s’ fashion. Two styles light years away from each other but it is nice to find them in this eclectic and versatile headgear. Wedding photography is one of the most important choices every couple must do. Choosing the best fit is not easy as order a piece of cake! More than anything, why taking the time to arrange even the smallest detail if you won’t remember it looking back at the photos?
Thank God, the digital technology has changed the marked and made things much easier. Clarify your expectations first: set a budget and find the style that fits you best. That’s it!
The style: photojournalistic or editorial?
Each photographer has his own peculiar and unique style.

A make-up artist is forever.
I take inspiration from the fantastic advertisement of De Beers to introduce this nice interview with one of the smartest wedding make-up artist Tuscany: Silvia Gerzeli.
For a wedding photographer, the competence of the Make Up Artist is crucial. We’ve talked about this last year, but we want to emphasize the main points.
Why a wedding makeup artist Tuscany?
A well made-up and coiffed bride is a beautiful bride, who sees and feels herself beautiful. A nice dress is not enough if the make-up is not well done . The result will still be mediocre.
A good make-up is the basis for good photos. Photo retouching can remedy some flaws, but definitely will surely enhance a well done job.
Besides being an excellent professional, Silvia is appreciable even from a human point of view. She keeps brides quiet in a complicated moment as that before the ceremony.… read more...
Have you ever watched a secular tree? The similarities between this extraordinary creature and a deep love relationship are really varied. It is no coincidence that in all religions of the world, the figure of the tree is often used as a metaphor within the scriptures.
One of the wonderful fortunes of getting married in Tuscany is that almost every villa chosen for the reception has a beautiful garden. Inside, you will find some of the most beautiful secular trees of all Italy.
I can think of, for example, the beautiful yellow fiels of San Gimignano. Or the secret garden of the Antica Fattoria Paterno in Chianti.
So, why not using them to create beautiful wedding portraits?

Tuscany offers to whom decide to get married here stunning venues to celebrate the wedding. As wedding photographers, we cannot help but recall, among these, Florence, Siena, Lucca, but also the area of Chianti and Versilia.
Off the beaten touristic and more noble sites, there are little-known villas and historic venues in celebrating the wedding will be a unique experience for you and your guests!
All these locations have:
a place to celebrate the symbolic or civil ceremony
accommodations within the property or very close
many areas for the receptions
gorgeous backgrounds for the photo shoots
rain cover in case of bad weather

“With all the time I had to devote to the organization, before leaving my husband I will think about it at least 100 times!”
That said a bride when I asked for clarification about her civil wedding in Italy. But first things first.
A couple who wants to get married with a civil ceremony in Italy has two options:
Arranging a civil ceremony in the country of origin and a symbolic ceremony in Italy;
Arranging a civil ceremony directly in Italy, in the halls of the municipalities or in the beautiful villas, if the municipality allows it.
This last solution is undoubtedly the most difficult.
Organizing a symbolic ceremony is extremely easy: once you find the celebrant, you simply need to agree on the type of ritual and timing.
The civil wedding in Italy is valid worldwide, but organizing it means having to do with the endless Italian bureaucracy.Celebrating the rite in a garden, surely pays back your efforts.… read more...
It was one of the most exhausting things I’ve ever done. In fact, if I had to restart looking for the best Tuscany venue for my wedding, I probably would give up getting married.
Jokes apart, there are so many beautiful locations to choose from and it is not easy to select the most beautiful from the outside, looking at the website or through the reviews of other brides.
I realize that choosing the villa where to organize ceremony and reception is not easy even for us Italians. I can’t imagine how hard it is for those coming from outside who don’t know the territory. Finding a suitable place for both the event and the staying is impossible if you don’t have a contact on the territory.

In Italy, it is called lovers’ getaway. There could not be a more romantic name to define what in the Italian language does not have a precise definition. Two words: Italy elopement.
The one famous in the 60s and 70s, when lovers from South-Italy, who did not accept the marriage arranged by their families, flee to the north, trying to build a life after a rapid rite celebrated in haste.
In 2015, many things have changed. The elopement has become a recurring thought in all those couples who are looking for a different way to celebrate a wedding; something that is more intimate, something to live almost privately, something that might be also the occasion for a great honeymoon.
Why eloping abroad?
The elopement is nothing more than a wedding where there is no one else but the couple and the celebrant. And, of course, the photographer.
But what are the real benefits of an Italy elopement?… read more...
