Among the many venues for the wedding in Florence, Castello di Vincigliata is the most fascinating and attractive. The castle is immersed in a wood of large trees, just a few steps from the centre of Fiesole and a few minutes from Florence. Accessible by a narrow, winding road rising along the hill, the Florentine castle offers a unique and breathtaking view, one of the most impressive of the entire Chianti.
The Castello di Vincigliata provides several areas for organising ceremonies and receptions. The most attractive is the panoramic terrace where this cute Canadian couple has exchanged promises and rings, surrounded by excited families and friends. But let’s take a step back.
The bride and groom got ready at Villa Fiesole, a few minute drive from the castle, along with bridesmaids and groomsmen. Upon arrived at the venue with a limo, the nervous groom watched the bride walk with her father along the garden. Around them, few moved family members and friends attended the ceremony.
The traditional wedding portraits were captured near the castle and in the historic centre of Florence. The two newlyweds were shining, and it was a pleasure to shoot them while, still thrilled, exchanged their first impressions of the day! Both good-looking and with a friendly smile, they posed to get romantic and spontaneous photographs before the cocktail hour.
On their return at the castle after the photo session, they celebrated their marriage with their guests: a delightful candlelight dinner, followed by unbridled dances inside the courtyard. I greeted them shortly after the first dance, still smiling and happy for the beautiful day spent. I hope to see them again in 100 years! Here are the photos!
