Among the many venues for weddings in Florence, Villa Vedetta deserves a special mention. The beauty of this villa perched on the hills is not the only reason why this lovely couple, all the way from Australia, decided to get married here. If you’ve never seen Villa La Vedetta, you just cannot help but fall in love with it at first sight. They know it well!
Villa La Vedetta is located a few steps from Piazzale Michelangelo, the spot with the most impressive view of Florence. The historic villa provides 18 rooms, a famous restaurant, a gorgeous Italian garden, a swimming pool and a fabulous terrace with a view. The historic centre of Florence is less than 10 minutes away and can be reached thanks to free shuttles. Despite being so close to the main attractions, Villa La Vedetta is surrounded by greenery and vegetation of the area.
The newlyweds decided to hold the ceremony in the garden, in front of the main facade of the villa. The bride and groom exchanged vows and rings among the touched tears of their guests. The reception was held on the beautiful terrace with a view. From here, the monuments and the attractions of Florence are so close; it looks you can touch them with your hand! One long table was set up with many fresh flowers and candles to create an intimate atmosphere, with jazz music in the background.
I couldn’t help but take pretty pictures of the newlyweds! Many of them were taken in the garden. Later on, it was nice to stroll through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town with the whole wedding party! I couldn’t forget to take sunset photos on the rooftop as well! Beautiful couples are ordinary for destination weddings in Florence. But the kindness, the good manners and the joy of living of this lovely couple are always welcome. I never had to ask them to smile, and I hope they remain so for the rest of their lives.
