Among the many venues for weddings in Florence, Villa Le Fontanelle is one of the most enchanting. The villa is located in a picturesque spot with a fabulous view of the historic centre of Florence. Olive trees and cypresses surround it, so it is also perfect for amazing honeymoons under the Tuscan sun.
Villa Le Fontanelle hosts a luxury hotel with bright rooms in Florentine style. The pretty garden and countryside around are the real flagships, plus a nice pool. This lovely couple, from Florida, celebrated an intimate wedding right here. In the previous days, they had been able to check out the latest details and enjoy the pool and the city together with families and friends. Everything ready for the Big Day!
I photographed the dress, the shoes, the jewellery and the bouquet as the bride and groom were getting ready at the hotel. Some bridal portraits before leaving the room and the best moment of the day had already arrived! The ceremony took place in the garden near the ancient tower, where vows and rings were exchanged in front of their thrilled guests.
After an aperitif with local wines and canapes, I led the couple around to capture some portraits in the warm light of the afternoon — a nice walk through hidden paths and walls with climbing plants. Nature shows its most beautiful face at Villa Le Fontanelle, and the wedding portraits couldn’t be better!
After reaching the other guests for the cocktail hour, the bride and groom danced for the first time together, before sitting down and enjoying a fabulous meal with a view in the shade of a wisteria-covered pergola. And as the sun was setting and the sky became blue, I shot the wedding party while listening to passionate speeches. Few but genuine, in a fairytale atmosphere; an unforgettable moment, one of my favourites of the year! I greeted them right before the night arrived, while they were partying with their guests. I always hope to see them so happy and carefree.
