Among the best works done in 2015, I remember this Isola del Garda wedding. With many hopes in my mind, I leave for Villa Florida in Gardone Riviera, the hotel where the couple got ready before the wedding. Upon my arrival, I was immediately surprised. The bride was a charming and gentle girl, the kind of muse every photographer would like to portray. The groom, also good-looking, was a friendly boy and puts me at ease right away.
Their story looks like a romantic movie: they met in London. She, Russian and he, Austrian, fell for each other after a real love at first sight. Within a few months, they’ve decided to get married. What better location than Italy to do it?
Isola del Garda is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Northern Italy. This beautiful villa is located on a private island in the middle of Lake Garda, just a few minutes away by speed boat from the shores of Salò and Gardone Riviera.
Once docked in the private harbour, you need to follow a path through the vegetation to reach the terrace with views. The bride and the groom hexchanged wedding vows and promises here, under centuries-old frescoes in front of the panorama of Lake Garda.
While the guests enjoyed a refreshing cocktail on the terrace, I made the photo shoot in the gardens below. After the ceremony, the bride and groom were radiant. I asked them to walk while I took the wedding photographs. It was lovely to see these two guys in love walk along the garden paths and pose in front of the marina. Just enough time to take some pictures with the villa in the background, and it was already time to take the boat and go to the reception.
The cocktail and dinner were held at the Hotel Villa del Sogno. The villa is located in Gardone Riviera, not far from the turquoise waters of the lake. Villa del Sogno offers exceptional views. The wedding planner set up an imperial table on the panoramic terrace. Many chandeliers, fresh flowers, and illumination by candlelight created a very romantic atmosphere. A breathtaking scenery!
As the night fell, guests and families had dinner and drank a toast to the new union. A gorgeous ending to a wedding to remember!
