Bucolic Lerici Wedding

22 March 2016

If I were to get married again, I would seriously consider Lerici as my wedding location. This stretch of the Ligurian coast is as beautiful as little known. Frequented mainly by locals, it is one of the loveliest areas where to celebrate a seaside celebration.

The bride and the groom, from the cold Russia, have chosen Lerici among the many wedding locations of Liguria. In addition to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, it’s been the typically Italian atmosphere that brought them here. For example, the colourful houses near the harbour,  the perched castle, rustic taverns and cafes overlooking the square, the rowdy fishermen who sell fresh seafood directly on the market stalls. A lovely atmosphere! They got dressed up in a private inn in Fiascherino, surrounded by their families and close friends.

The couple portraits were taken in the morning in the center of Lerici. After the first pictures, with boats and blue water as a background, we climbed the small fishing village up to the castle, on the top of the village. From here, the view of the Gulf of Lerici is fantastic. Despite it was hot, it was worth to sweat a little to take breathtaking wedding photos. Just a short time to freshen up and have a quick lunch, and it was already time to go to Tellaro for the ceremony. From castle to castle! The symbolic ceremony was held at the Castle of Tellaro. A brief and touching ceremony in front of the fabulous scenery of the area. While I took the second part of the photo shoot, guests enjoyed an excellent aperitif with a view, made of local seafood and colourful cocktails.

The dinner was held at the Mirabello port in La Spezia. The spouses have opted for a single imperial table, ideal for an intimate Lerici wedding with few guests. The bride has chosen a classic, timeless look. Her thin body and her sweet face made her a gorgeous bride. A long dress of light tulle, a semi-transparent neckline on the back, many rich details on the bodice. A tiara gem and a romantic veil completed the delightful aspect of this young bride. The groom was wearing a light grey classic suit, which perfectly wrapped his body.  Perfect for a seaside venue!

I cannot wait to meet again this lovely couple, perhaps on the occasion of a new trip to Italy. Lerici, Tellaro and Fiascherino expect them for new exciting photos under the Italian sun. Or maybe, for another lovely Lerici Wedding!
