The first time I came in contact with Carlotta, I had blown away. It’s not every day to get an email a gucci.com account! Before I opened it, I assumed it was a snobbish girl with a The Devil Wears Prada-ish attitude. I was totally and completely wrong! The email was from Carlotta, a girl who wanted to hire me as her wedding photographer and make her dream wedding lasts a lifetime in photographs.
The day we met face-to-face was unique. In the meeting with Carlotta and Samuele, I was graced by the presence of their Beagle puppy, Coco – who’s name is in honour of Chanel. She slept profoundly and snored throughout the entire meeting! Contrary to what I initially expected, Carlotta and Samuele were very friendly and had a great desire to live, laugh, and love. I usually ask my couple to secure the date within a few days, but they made the reservations immediately, a sign that we were in complete harmony with one another.
Their engagement session took place in a beech forest near Certaldo. After that, I took their engagement photos in a lovely spot on the hills near San Miniato, in the countryside of Pisa. We ended the day with dinner on the lake, where the company was so enjoyable I hardly noticed the pizza took nearly two hours to get to us.
The day of the wedding was stunning. There was a level of excitement in the air that was so contagious that everybody could feel it. The ceremony took place at Santuario del Santissimo Crocifisso in San Miniato Alto, and the reception was at Castello di Oliveto, a medieval castle that was built in the 1400s but now is a great venue.
Enjoy some of their wedding photos!
