The profession of wedding planner has been one of the most popular in recent years. A Wedding Planner, often a woman, is the key figure for spouses-to-be and for the suppliers who work in the field of weddings.
She deals with optimizing the timing, arranging transfers during the wedding day, setting the right space, helping the bride in the performance of the things to do (and I assure you that there are so many!).
A good wedding planner is worth much more than what you say!
In recent times we have known many. Few have proved excellent collaborators and fantastic event organizers.
The Wedding planner Lucca
Among them, deserve a mention of honor the girls of Il Bianco e Il Rosa, wedding planners in Lucca. We met them at a wedding on the beach in Forte dei Marmi, and we were very impressed by the preparation and the seriousness with which they do their work. Intrigued, we went to them to ask them some questions.
Read carefully! You never know, you might need them for the organization of your wedding!
Tell us a bit about yourself and your company:
Il Bianco e Il Rosa was founded in 2011 by the passion and the love I have for the world of the wedding. We take care of every wedding and event starting from the details until the direction of the “big day“, supporting the couple in the choices of the most suitable suppliers in respect of style and budget.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
The creative part. Looking for new ideas, styles, “sewing” the event on the couple.
What was the most challenging event you’ve planned in the past?
A wedding with 300 guests. A great event, very elegant in Montecatini Terme. A luxury wedding, unique in its genre.
What approach do you use in communicating with different people, customers, staff, co-workers, management? How do you know you are communicating effectively?
With a couple I immediately create a bond based on transparency. To suppliers I ask the best in terms of quality, punctuality and availability. Who does not meet these parameters will not have a second chance with me.
A wedding is a unique event and errors are not allowed.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned that you could tell as an advice to other new wedding planners who are just getting started?
Clarity and honesty. You only work for the couple’s wellness. I do not accept commissions from suppliers, I prefer a discount in favor of my spouses. I want to feel free to choose those who work well and deserve it.
To the beginners I’d advice to travel a lot, make experience in large agencies, starting with humility.
What are your hobbies or non-work-related activities?
Traveling, reading, but in everything I always look for the same thing: weddings! And here I am in Paris and I go to Cymbeline to see the latest dresses …
Any great stories from working with a client?
Every couple has left me beautiful memories. I often think back to my first Russian bride, a very sweet girl with whom I am still in touch.
What is your current favorite color combination?
Pink and its nuances. Pastel colors mixed together. The timeless total white.
